History of Digital Photography
The most recent development in the world
of photography is the digital camera. An
important marker in the history of digital
photography was when Sasson snapped the
first digital picture in December 1975.
One of the newest advancements in the
field was the birth of digital photography.
Digital photography is an improvement to
the portrait. As the history of digital
photography will show, modern digital cameras
soon took on the familiar shape of film
cameras. Digital photography allows you
take pictures right onto a memory card and
the pics can then be transfered directly
into your computer. Instead of opposing
conventional photography, digital technology
has refreshed photographic practice and
opened up new avenues to even the most devoted
of conventional photographers. Digital photography
has made it possible to eliminate or retouch
photographs to elude perfection.
But a century and a half after the "invention"
of photography, digital imaging threatens
to finish film and make the dark room redundant.
While traditional film photography is still
widely used, it is obvious that the future
belongs to digital photography. .
